Qualitative Proteomics

Comprehensive identification of proteins to characterize proteome composition and explore biological functions and molecular mechanisms.

In modern proteomics, protein identification is fundamental for advancing our understanding of biological systems, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic targets. Tandem Mass Spectrometry (MS/MS) has revolutionized the process of protein identification and analysis by offering precise and high-throughput capabilities to analyze complex protein mixtures with remarkable sensitivity.

At Novogene, our qualitative proteomics platform is powered by Thermo Astral with DIA acquisition mode, significantly enhancing selectivity, accuracy, and throughput. This powerful combination enables comprehensive coverage and highly confident protein identification and characterization across diverse biological systems.

Detection Details

The Orbitrap Astral high-resolution mass spectrometer comprises three mass analyzers (as shown below). By integrating these analyzers, the system leverages their unique strengths to enhance performance and usability, ultimately improving its overall capabilities.

1. Quadrupole mass analyzer: Enables precise precursor ion selection.

2. Orbitrap mass analyzer: Delivers high-resolution, high dynamic range HRAM (High-Resolution Accurate Mass) spectra.

3. Astral mass analyzer: Provides high-sensitivity detection and rapid acquisition of high dynamic range HRAM spectra at speeds of up to 200 Hz.
